Wonder Objects and Street Games from IWM North

Find out about the past with loan boxes, street games and a pop-up shop showcasing the war and childhood range, brought to you by Imperial War Museum North.

Loan boxes contain a specially curated selection of real and replica artefacts which explore the Second World War and its impact on people’s lives and society, such as a gas bell, shrapnel, an ARP Wardens helmet, and a replica incendiary bomb.

All objects can be handled and have a story to tell, providing a basis for discussion and an opportunity to explore their significance in a historical context.
