Free Time Parade

You are invited to collect your placard made in the Free Time Parade Placard Shop and take part in an exciting one-off, mass participation, Free Time Parade through the festival and over to Trafford and back directed by local movement director Ruth Jones. Or why not join in even if you don’t have a placard, the more the merrier!

The Free Time Parade is a chance to hold your placard up with pride and in unison with others to celebrate free time, an opportunity to shout about what the weekend means to you.

The parade will end in the Weekend Stage on MediaCity Piazza for a joyous finale with Craig Charles headlining!

Come along to the Open Centre for 5.00 pm to pick up your placards and join in!

Ruth Jones is a dance artist, choreographer and movement director . She specialises in mass movement, outdoor work and parades. She is currently Creative Advisor (Movement) for Green Space Dark Skies, an UNBOXED commission.
