Blue Weekend – Cyanotype printing workshop with Gwen Evans
Join artist Gwen Evans for a free cyanotype workshop, creating beautiful blue prints responding to the question ‘What does your weekend look like?’.
Cyanotype is an eco-friendly printing is process, creating unique prints of objects within minutes of exposure to natural sunlight. By creating a collage and print using a variety of objects and photographs we will celebrate what the weekend means to you.

A practicing artist, Gwen is interested in facilitating creativity and improving wellbeing through socially engaged workshops, events and projects. Specialising in painting and printmaking she has lead a variety of projects including working with the homeless community to facilitate a collaborative artwork exhibited in ‘Love For The Streets x The Whitworth’, Whitworth Art Gallery and was recently commissioned by Salford CVS to lead an Eco-printing workshop using plants and litter collected from the River Irwell to raise awareness of environment issues.
