Salford in the Air – Floating Colours

Brought to you by Salford Hongkongers, Salford in the Air celebrates diversity and heritage through a unique fusion of cultures. Take in the spectacle of a vibrant dance centred on the 200-year-old Hong Kong Floating Colours technique. This traditional artistry features child performers appearing to ‘float’ in mid-air as iconic local figures. While we hope to debut our custom four-wheel bike float, our dancers are fully prepared to deliver a high-energy ground-based performance with atmospheric props and flags. Either way, we aim to showcase the beauty of integration and the soaring spirit of the Salford community.
