Department of Perfect Weekends

Drop into the Department of Perfect Weekends to have your say on what makes up your ultimate weekend.

Fill out a quick questionnaire to commit your dream weekend to paper, and you will be able to choose one of three creative challenges – collage, sketching or poetry printing – to bring your weekend to life as an artwork. You can then either take it home, or add it to the Department gallery that grows as the festival goes on.

The Department also plays host to our perfect weekend plotter – a huge flowchart that helps you find out your ideal activity for the festival, and your future weekends.

This workshop follows on from a local workshop delivery programme by Mikesian Studio that took place across Salford in summer 2025. Artworks and posters from those sessions will be exhibited throughout the Department.
