Ray – Talk on Tom Boardman, a Far East prisoner of war

Discover the fascinating story of Tom Boardman, who was in the army during the Second World War and taken prisoner by the Japanese after the fall of Singapore in 1942. This talk is given by our volunteer Ray who knew Tom through his interest and research into prisoners of war in the Far East.

Jay – Life in the US Navy from 1973 to 1998

Jay was deployed aboard USS Saipan, an amphibious assault ship – he saw first-hand the Harrier Jump Jet take off on such short runways.
