It is something that most people rely on every day. But with the climate crisis looming, we must ask ourselves, ‘What is the future of travel?’ and how can we get from A to B whilst ensuring the preservation of the planet?

Melissa is an Interviews Producer at Sky News. She has previously worked for Channel 4 News, Times Radio and the BBC. Her work has featured at Durham Book Festival, in Refinery29 and as part of the award-winning Anthems podcast series by Broccoli Productions.

Anna Hughes
Flight Free UK
Anna is an environmental campaigner, flight-free adventurer, and author. She has worked in behaviour change for over a decade, encouraging people to make climate-friendly travel choices. She is the founder and director of Flight Free UK, a charity that educates people about the climate impact of aviation and inspires them to travel by other means.

Dr James Warren
Senior Lecturer in Transport & Sustainability – The Open University
James’ work usually deals with quantifying emissions for particular scenarios or modes of transport and addressing questions of sustainability in the context of travelling. He has worked with a wide range of partners at city level to devise more sustainable transport. Previous to his work at The Open University he worked in the automotive industry designing vehicle exhaust systems.

Eve Holt
Director, GreaterSport – Strategic Leadership for GM Moving
Eve is a visible leader on active travel, transport, place-making and sustainability in Greater Manchester.  As Strategic Director at GreaterSport, she is helping grow an inclusive movement for movement (#GMMoving) supporting culture, system and behaviour change across the city region to enable more active, healthy and sustainable lives for all.  Eve is also a Councillor, on Manchester City Council.
