About Pete Obsolete:

OVERDRAWN is the brain-child of doodle-extraordinaire Dave Draws, and started back in 2016 as an art night for EVERYBODY to get creative, even if you’re on a budget. Starting life in The Deaf Institute, Manchester, Overdrawn has gone on to host interactive art nights at some incredible venues across Manchester including The Refuge, Projekts Skatepark, Stretford Food Hall, The Bay Horse Tavern, The Pilcrow Pub, Feel Good Club, The Hiphop Chip Shop,  and more recently Ducie Street Warehouse and Mary & Archie’s Chorlton.

The events are hosted and organised by Pete Obsolete, a local creative, illustrator, painter and MC. Pete painted live at one of the first Overdrawn gigs, and joined the team to help run and host the nights, but also encourage the audience to get creative, as well as promoting the artists and venue throughout the events. He also brings his ‘Illustration Showdowns’ to the full events, asking the members of the  audience to volunteer to battle each other in art!

As an independent creative himself, Pete represents art and creativity and the need to just doodle, and wants to bring art to as many people as possible, artists or not!
