Free Time Parade Placard Shop
It took a lot of work for the weekend as we know it to become embedded in society; workers in Greater Manchester fought hard for the right to establish two out of seven days in a week as time outside of work for family, rest and recuperation that we have all come to enjoy.
Design Art Studio Mikesian will be setting up shop where you can make a placard stating what the weekend means to you now, or what you wish it to be in the future. A pledge, protest or plea. Placards will be displayed in the shop over the festival weekend.
You are invited to collect your placard on Sunday afternoon and take part in an exciting one off mass participation Free Time Parade through the festival and over to Trafford and back.

Mikesian Studio are a Design and Art duo from Manchester. With a background in large scale design agencies, they’re interested in taking the principles of branding and communication, and placing that into inclusive, accessible artistic formats. Their practice centres around words, graphic shapes & colour – with a focus on making bold public art that’s accessible for everyone. Half rice, half chips, two birds, one stone. One dog, two tails, half Mike, half Sian.
